Don’t we often contemplate dumping our day routine, monotonous job to pursue our passion? But before we even embark upon planning for it, we get to be the recipient of negativity and discouragement from our close ones that sends a chill down our spine and we start wondering, “Is it even worth giving a try?”

Albert Einstein once said, “If you want to live a happy life, tie it to a goal, not to people or objects.”

So, we often wonder, “What successful people actually do?”

The first and foremost quality that successful people possess is Confidence. They set different challenges for themselves and likewise they toil to meet them. This comes from an undying love for new experiences and lifelong learning. Their attitude is this: “If I don’t take this risk, will I regret it later?” The answer is almost always affirmative. The confident person knows that the worst that can happen is a failure, and they know they learn from their failures. Nurturing this habit starts with small risks like taking a course in a subject you never did well in as a student, Starting a small business on the side. Over time, you can increase your risk level. It’s exciting, it’s fun, and it’s what confident people do.

So, let’s plan to follow our passion and live the life that we have always dreamed of. If others have pursued it, why can’t we?

We’ve heard it multiple times that, “Rome was not built in a day” and same applies here as well because things cannot be achieved overnight, however, the need of the hour is to find the correct path to take an initiative. Small steps will ensure we are following the path that we should have started long before however, they say, it’s never too late. Let’s start it now.

>Figure out what you really love and start making plans for it.

>Know your strength and see what you can do with ease.

>Analyse your past so that you don’t repeat those mistakes again.

>Life is not there to last forever so play like a child.

>Make a list of the things that make you happy.

>Ask help from others. To the confident person, asking for and getting help means the chance to learn something.

>Nobody is perfect. We all make mistakes but what differentiates the confident people from others is that they do not see mistakes as black marks. They simply admit the mistake, own it, gain experience from it and again move on.

Develop the Self-Belief because you are beautiful beyond description. We all talk a lot about Vision these days, however, much of the organisational malaise found in companies, relationships and families are not caused by a lack of vision but by a lack of strategy. Sometimes, we fail to strategize according to an overarching purpose that we have the caliber to accomplish the things we want for us. Confident people praise themselves and find joy in everything they accomplish privately. They don’t think what others will say because they are aware of their worth and they are pleased with it.

The overall purpose of our lives must serve our agenda. Otherwise, we may live out our lives in frustration and futility. Let us show the courage and grace to honour ourselves in all the ways.
